Chapter 04
Y/n pov.
I have been expecting my new bedroom to be a cold, dusty prison in the basement instead of a 20m x 20m bedroom with star-shaped crystals dangling from the ceiling on glittery cords, blue and purple flowers weaved through the carpet, feeling the room with a sweet, flowery scent. The king-sized bed occupied the centre of the room, a huge closet and dressing area took up an entire wall. The lilac walls were partially coated in a thin layer of glitter. I even had my own bathroom, completed with a waterfall shower and bathtub. It was a room that any girl would dream for.
“Wowwww.” Was all I could get out from my mouth.
“Well, this is probably another of Yeji’s doing. Anyway, hope you like it!” Chan chuckled.
“This is not the only part of a room there is still another—“ Hyunjin started but got cut off by a girl who jumped out from the closet. I clutched my shirt tightly in surprise. The girl slammed the closet door shut and laughed nervously.
“Nice to meet you Y/n! You look so much more beautiful in real life! I’m sure you’ll be a heartbreaker when you grow up! I’m Yeji by the way.” The girl introduced.
“Nice to meet you too Yeji.” I replied, my cheeks slightly tinted pink from the praise. Yeji looked strikingly beautiful as well— her huge monolid eyes, sharp nose and small face. She has a cat-like face due to her upward slanted eyes and sharp features. Yeji flashed me a smile before turning to Hyunjin, her long dark hair with pink highlights gently flicking my shoulder.
“Yah Hyunjin! That was supposed to be a surprise, I already told you just now!” Yeji half-yelled at Hyunjin.
“Okay okay sorry.” Hyunjin replied as he ruffled Yeji’s hair. The two seem to be quite close, I thought, feeling something burning in the pit of my stomach. I was not sure what that feeling was…
“Are you two dating or something?” I blurted out before I could stop myself.
The both of them cracked up.
“Us dating? Seriously Y/n?” Hyunjin said while laughing, “I would never date anyone like her.” He continued, rolling his eyes as he flashed me a smile and a wink. He looked even more charming while he smiled. I felt the butterflies in my stomach again.
“Like I would date anyone like you!” Yeji retorted, sticking her tongue out.
“Can’t you tell the similarity?” Hyunjin asked. Both of them turned to face me. Their equally pale skin, same catlike eyes, sharp nose and small face.
“Twins?” I guessed.
“Yup!” Yeji nodded. “Oh yeah! I almost forgot, Jyp said to meet him in his office like right now. He said he wants to plan out Y/n’s schedule with the eight of you.” Yeji told the eight boys. My schedule?
“Okay, let’s go guys.” Chan told the seven boys. They waved before exiting the room. Hyunjin flashed me a quick smile before following behind Chan.
“Let’s look through your clothes and makeup my friends and I bought!” Yeji exclaimed excitedly as she dragged me towards the closet.
"That's the surprise?" I tried to be energetic but it came out as a reluctant tone.
"C'mon. I can tell by your tone that you don't like these kinds of stuff. But trust me, You would love them."
Hyunjin pov.
“Here’s the schedule.” Jyp said as he turned his i-pad towards Chan. I ignored whatever they were discussing, my mind was focused on Y/n. What was that fluttery thing in my stomach just now? Why does that happen whenever I'm close to Y/n? The way she stared into my eyes just now-
“Hyunjin ah, you're going to train her with Felix. But it’s mostly you as Felix would be helping to organise the attack three months later.” Chan announced, making me snap my head up. I heard Seungmin shouting ‘yes!’ behind me.
“Why does she need training? Jyp nim, I thought you were thinking of recruiting her because of her good fighting skills.” I asked Jyp, ignoring the maknaes whispering some * excitedly.
“Well, yes. Her fighting skills are one of the best in Yg and she is probably even better than Itzy and Nmixx but she still lacks a bit of training to reach Twice’s level. Since she would be working with you guys and Itzy, we should make sure that she is pushed to her best so she would not drag you guys down.” Jyp answered as he leaned back into his chair. Is he comparing her to Twice sunbaenim? C’mon, Twice has been with Jyp for seven years, some of them have been with Jyp over ten years…and that Y/n is still a kid that trained for only 5 years.
"Hyunjin, aren't you excited?" Felix whispered.
"Excited my ass." I whispered back, rolling my eyes playful.
"Just admit it that you enjoy spending your time with pretty girls." Felix said a little too loudly, making me blush as I punched him lightly. Well, he wasn't entirely wrong. Y/n is really beautiful, and I can't help but feel a bit of excitement when Chan hyung said I would be training her. Wha-Hyunjinwakeup you must be DREAMING-
“Chan, bring her here in the evening. I’ll make her agree to the contract.” Jyp ordered saving me from my thoughts.
"What makes you so sure she would agree to the contract?" Lee Know asked.
"Firstly, she has always been trying to find Rosé and her parents' killer and she wouldn't ever turn down the request of us helping her. Second of all, Yg and us also have the same goal—for Sm and Hybe to be dead. We will propose an alliance to her and I am sure she would agree to that." Jyp explained, sipping on his tea.
I felt my heart clench slightly—now I finally understood why she always tries to act tough and bottle up her emotions, but deep down, I knew that she was fragile and suffered greatly from her past, witnessing both her parents and sister die right in front of her eyes.
Y/n pov.
“It looks like the closet threw up.” I chuckled as I stared at the clothes thrown all over my large canopy bed. Actually, the clothes were not that bad. Ding! Yeji turned on her phone, glancing at the screen. “What’s happening?” I asked.
“You’ll be meeting Jyp at 7pm later.” Yeji announced, making my shoulders tense up.
“Hey, it’s okay. We would all be there.” Yeji comforted as she petted my head lightly.
“Honestly? You’re much nicer than Hyunjin.” I said. Yeji burst into laughter, clutching her stomach.
“I know right! My brother sucks!” Yeji said between her giggles, making me chuckle along with her.
“Wait, did you say ‘we’? Who are the others?” I asked.
“My other members and well of course Stray Kids too. Twice and Nmixx wouldn't be coming as they are overseas." Yeji replied casually. Wow, Jyp is preparing so much for his enemy's daughter’s arrival.
"That's a lot of people." I muttered.
"Chill, Jyp wouldn't do anything, he would just ask you some questions." Yeji replied. I hummed in reply as we started to put away the clothes. "Do you want to join my friends and I for lunch? After that, maybe we can start to get ready for the meeting."
"Sure!" I nodded. Well, it doesn't hurt to make new friends right?
"Let's go!" Yeji said as she led me out of the house.
"Do your members live with Stray Kids?"
"Actually no. We all have different dorms scattered all over Seoul but we all report to the Jyp building every day. We can't stay in the same place or we all might get caught in one shot." Yeji explained as we got into the car.
*Time pass*
"Guys, this is Y/n. Y/n this is Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong and Yuna." Yeji introduced. I was stunned by their beauty, who knew a bunch of mafia girls could look like models?
"Hello Y/n, I'm Lia." Lia smiled as she greeted me, her long dark hair done up in a high ponytail swishing lightly as she looked at Ryujin, waiting for Ryujin to introduce herself.
"Hey, I'm Ryujin!" Ryujin introduced. Her skin was slightly tanned and her short blue hair stood out, making her look like the cool type of girl.
"I'm Chaeryeong!" Chaeryeong said, with a cheerful smile. Chaeryeong's beautiful red hair was done up in a loose french braid, with a few strands of baby hair framing her face.
"And I'm Yuna! I'm eighteen too and I'm sure we would get along!" Yuna cheered excitedly. Yuna looked extremely beautiful, her perfect features and blonde hair made her look like a human version of those barbie dolls I used to play with as a child.
"Nice to meet you guys!" I replied with a smile.
We ate the delicious food as we talked, making me forget the stress that was building up in me. We cracked jokes and got to know each other better. However, the happy mood was ruined by Yeji's phone ringing again. Yeji sighed as she mumbled sorry. However, when she read the message, her eyes darted to me.
"What?" I asked, eating another mouthful of my ramen.
"Wanna hear good news or bad news first?" Yeji chuckled nervously.
"Good news of course."
"Well, we will be having a party at the club later. And we can have a makeover together! The six of us!" Yeji squealed excitedly as the other members agreed, discussing what clothes to wear later.
"Bad news?" Yeji's face shifted back to the nervous look. It can't be that bad.
"As the party starts at seven, you would be meeting Jyp at three which is three hours from now." Yeji said.
My blood ran cold.
Three hours before I meet the boss.
Three hours.
